Project Description
Due to a rapid expansion CSFB were spread around three
separate offices within the central business district
area of Singapore. The project involved the fitting
out of 140,000 sq. ft of new Hong Kong Land shell and
core building One Raffles Link and migration of approx.
770 people to the new Singapore headquaters facility.
ISG Asia were appointed as Project Manager, responsible
for overall project management of the relocation project
strategy, procurement and fitting-out of the new offices.
Two full-time project management staff were based on
the project, supported by ISG Asia's head office. To
manage the migration we had to coordinate and manage
the migration process.
The new CSFB premises contain both back-of-house and
front-of-house banking operations. With over 140 dealer
positions across three separate Business Units, Privater
Banking Client contact areas, receptions, training facilities,
VC rooms, Learning centers, major equipment rooms and
a regional Computer Data Centre.
One of the key project objectives was to incorporate
CSFB's worldwide standards for Critical Business systems
design. The Engineering Services was developed through
consultation with CSFB's engineering departments based
in Hong Kong and the UK. The final scheme provided complete
redundancy and included generators, diverse risers and
switch gear, UPS's on separate floors, static transfer
switches and back up chillers.
The construction strategy had to allow the bank to maintain
its operation during all phases of construction and
thus, the work done in two phases, the all-new work
being completed first. The first move then occurred
freeing existing space for the alteration work. The
early recognition for the move strategy was a prime
factor behind the ultimate lack of disruption to the
Bank's operations during the move.
Our Delivery Services team were appointed after a competitive
tender to fit-out the new private banking and client
contact areas within this project. |
