ISG Asia Hong Kong team win Construction Innovation Award
Hong Kong: May 2009
In recognition of our policy of continuous improvement and development, ISG Asia Hong Kong recently won a Construction Innovation Award from The Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM). Selected from a wide range of entries that included leading international construction firms, the Hong Kong team’s submission was a summary of an ongoing initiative for one of ISG Asia’s long term banking clients, who is a major player in emerging markets.
Entitled the ‘Build a Better Branch Initiative’, the submission demonstrated a number of innovations that the bank and ISG Asia now follow for the rollout of new branches across the Asia Pacific region. These innovations include standardization of furniture, fixtures and equipment, simplification in design, bulk purchasing, the utilization of a web-based space management system, and the set-up of a web-based database system for O&M manuals, drawings and other key project documents. The benefits to the bank include time and cost savings, centralized procurement and logistics, and multi-purpose furniture solutions which suit various sites.
Mark Osborne, Country Director for ISG Asia Hong Kong says of the award: “We are very pleased to have won this award. The team who have been working with the bank have shown a very high level of commitment and dedication, and this award recognizes their contribution to the success of this initiative.”
The aim of the HKICM Construction Innovation Award is to recognize and honour individuals and companies that have demonstrated some form of innovation that benefits the industry, whether it is an innovative idea, process or end product.
