Asia and Middle East contract wins strengthen order book for next financial year

During the three months to 31 May 2009, ISG Asia has secured circa £40 million worth of new work. The
vast majority of these project wins were across the retail, hospitality, leisure and education sectors,
demonstrating the Group’s policy of diversifying away from the commercial office sector.

The recent contract wins include two significant fit out projects on the prestigious Marina Bay Sands
(MBS) project in Singapore for a total of £20 million.

In addition, in the UAE the group’s new joint venture, Al Habtoor ISG, has secured its first significant
opportunity in Abu Dhabi with the £8 million refurbishment of the Sheikh Zayad National Football Stadium,
and has a pipeline of several other opportunities in Abu Dhabi.

In response to the recent activity, ISG Asia’s order book has grown from £22 million in December 2008 to
£52 million as at 31 May 2009.

David Lawther, Chief Executive said:
“I am delighted to announce these contract wins for our Asia operations. The spread of
sectors over which the work has been won demonstrates the success of the Group’s policy of
diversifying our operations away from the commercial office sector. The increase in ISG
Asia’s secured order book gives it a good platform to build on for the year ahead.”
