We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Steve Okill and Alan McCready, who both joined ISG Asia in March 2009. Managing Director, South East Asia Steve is an experienced property and construction professional with over 15 years of global experience working for clients, developers and contractors. He joins us from project management consultancy, Confluence – where he held the role of General Manager for Asia. His responsibilities included managing the P&L performance of the division, overseeing a team working on complex projects across the region, and managing the expansion of the group in Asia - which saw year-on-year growth in revenue and staff numbers. His role at ISG Asia complements our move towards a Regional structure and as such Steve will be working closely with our Managing Director of the Gulf (Alan McCready) and North Asia (Tim Threlkeld) to ensure that our services are enhanced and business opportunities are best served. Steve holds a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics degree from the University of Canberra.
Alan McCready MBE Managing Director, HISG Alan McCready is Managing Director for Al Habtoor ISG (HISG), our joint venture in the UAE. He has significant experience in the construction industry and has worked in a variety of sectors in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe up to Managing Director/CEO level. He has led the construction and/or development of a large number of complex projects, including high rise office buildings, commercial centres, residential developments, heritage sites and most types of public civil works. For much of Alan’s career to date he worked at the specialist construction group, Mivan. During a posting in Iraq as Mivan’s Regional Director during Operation Desert Shield in 1990 - he was awarded an MBE in the Gulf War Honors from HRH The Queen. He is also a past winner of the Northern Ireland Business Person of the Year Award. Alan is a qualified civil engineer and holds an MBA in International Business and Industrial Development.
